Butchers Bike with Trojan mini motor (and side car! )
I have always quite liked the 'cycle motors' from the 1950's, things like the Trojan mini motor, the BSA winged wheel and the like. They have an interested history, look them up on the web. I found a complete Trojan mini motor for sale on EBay and restored it. I found a picture on the web of a mini motor attached to a low gravity ( the one with the small front wheel) butchers bike that had a side car attached, loved it! and so a new project is born........... got the motor, got the basis of the butchers bike, it's the side car that is the problem. They are pretty rare and so I will probably end up making a 'replica'. The bicycle side cars were made by Watsonian and are pivoted, interesting! Also need to make all the controls for the motor, fit a braking system and.........
hopefully, Different. If you have to ask why? then you will never understand........... Q. why use a 'vintage' bike? A. need to to get it road registered on an age related plate and buthers bikes are cool! Q. A.
